About Us
The First Presbyterian Church Nursery School was founded in 1963 and has had a longstanding tradition of excellence in preschool education. We are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment that encourages exploration and creativity. We strive to find the talent and interests inside each child and provide exceptional teachers who inspire our students with the wonders around them. Each child is an individual with different needs and it is our goal to meet those needs and provide a stimulating environment.
Our teachers care about the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of each child. We encourage positive learning and experimentation in the context of play. Hands-on exploration allows all children the freedom to learn and grow at their own pace. In a small group setting and under competent guidance, we help lead children toward being sensitive, capable and creative people.
Our staff is comprised of experienced teachers who work as a team, committed to helping children gain self-esteem, socialization and a love of learning.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy and goal is to provide a safe and loving environment in which 2 ½ - 6 year olds can successfully grow up to be thoughtful, kind, independent, and creative people while learning to discover themselves as unique individuals capable of developing their own sense of positive self-worth.
